Pickles Group’s Parenting Patient Champions Program
More than half of the kids and teens who find their way to Pickles Group are referred by someone on the frontlines of their parent's cancer care: an oncology nurse, a social worker, a patient navigator.
These are the people who know which patients have kids at home, and how much being a parent never stops mattering, no matter what's happening with your diagnosis and treatment.
The program does two things for our community partners.
Provide Quality Support: We’ve streamline and improved resources, tools, and programming for oncology care staff who work with parenting patients.
Celebrate What’s Working: We’re recognizing the organizations that are going above and beyond to center the needs of parents with cancer and their kids.
We’re proud of our Parenting Patient Champions: hospitals and nonprofits from across the country who are working hard to change the status quo for kids facing a parent’s cancer.
